100 Year Old Vintage Recipe
INGREDIENTS
4 Cup GF Cup4Cup
Flour Blend, any brand
1 Tsp Salt
1 Cup Sugar
3 Tsp Baking
Powder, rounded
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Tbls Caraway
Seeds
1 Cup Raisins
Melted Butter -
Size of Large Egg
1 Cup Milk
2 Eggs
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven 400F
Grease large cast
iron skillet
Mix flour with salt,
sugar, baking powder, and baking soda. Stir in raisins and caraway seeds. Make
a center well in the flour mixture.
In a separate bowl
mix together melted butter, milk and eggs and pour all at once into center
well. Continue to mix until all ingredients are moistened. Turn into the
greased cast iron skillet. Bake at 400
for 15 minutes then lower oven to 375 and bake for 30 minutes more.
